High-Pressure Boiler Operator Overview:
A High-pressure special license is required for boilers over 6 hp & up to 100 hp. The boilers have to have a pressure greater than 15 PSI to classify as high-pressure. This seal is sometimes referred to as the white seal or high-pressure special.

Experience:
90 days experience in a place that has a boiler that's over 6 hp but not greater than 100 hp.
Most people who sign up for this particular program are owners of dry cleaning stores or operate boilers such as Fulton, Clayton, or other steam generators. Equipment is sometimes connected to autoclaves or devices that need steam rapidly.

Endorsements:
Provide an endorsement from a manager from your place of employment for your application.
Provide our school with NJ state inspection certificates. These certificates can be found hanging in your boiler room framed behind glass. They contain all the information that we need to properly fill out your application.

The Test:
Your test consists of a 50 question multiple-choice test and the passing score is 60%.

The Course:
The course consists of four, 2-hour training sessions at one of our locations.

The program includes: rules or regulations of the state of New Jersey; boiler plant auxiliaries; boiler fundamentals; theory; math equations; how they apply to the boiler plant; testing; ASME codes; boiler systems; fundamentals.
